Katharine played football throughout school and represented Mount Carmel Girls' Team. After leaving school in 1998 and dabbling in Ladies football at St Mary's College, Blackburn, and the University of Nottingham, several years went by since she played regularly. Despite thinking her days of playing were long since over, she decided to get her boots out of mothballs, and after making a permanent move back to Accrington following a five-year spell away from the area, Katharine started to train with Stanley Ladies in November 2006 and went on to sign for them shortly after. During the 07/08 season Katharine played in goal and did herself and the team very proud, as she originally came to the club as a midfielder, Katharine jumped at the chance to play between the posts at a time of injury crisis and has excelled in her new position

Jamie got her nickname 'Psycho' from being just that, she gets herself into positions on a pitch that are fantastic and does not shy away from tackling her opponents. When she is on her game she can read a match extremely well and puts in key tackles before it reaches any kind of a threatening level. She is one of the major characters at the football club and has immense ability as a central defender. She works very well at the back working when working alongside Laura Kay, Suzanne Geldard or Sarah Shard. She is a great player to have on your side.

Having played for Blackburn College Ladies FC, Sarah wanted to gain more experience playing in an 11-a-side football team and thought that the opportunity of playing for Accrington Stanley Ladies was too good to miss. During her time with the College team, she played in numerous positions but had mostly played in a midfield position. But during the 07/08 season Sarah has relished the opportunity playing in her new role of left-back and her quick-footedness and tenacity has seen her play in 100% of the games so far. She is also an FA Level 1 qualified football coach

Sophie is another major character within the team, she is a prolific defender who with her height and strength has turned into one of Stanley Ladies best prospects. Her effort and enthusiasm has not gone unnoticed by the Stanley Ladies Coaching team and she has been rewarded with a 100% appearance record in the 07/08 season. Sophie had previously played with fellow Stanley Ladies Sarah Ronnan and Brogan Cook at Clitheroe Ladies FC and saw fit to join Stanley Ladies alongside them. She is also an important set-piece taker and alongside Chloe Smith and cause a lot of problems for the opposition defence from corners.

The ever-reliable Sarah Shard is a fantastic player of great ability. Coming from the higher Leagues of women's football after playing from Stockport County and Manchester Stingers, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to the Stanley team. With her 'go, go, gadget' right and left legs she defends the penalty area as if her life depended on it, and is ever reliable when called upon in defensive areas. Her partnership with Jamie Schofield and Sophie Jones at the back has been a great success for the team, with the amount of goals going in since her signing being cut by half. Her starting places were limited during the first-part of this season due to a football coaching work placement in America but from September 2007 was a stalwart in the side.

After leaving the now dyfunct Clitheroe Ladies, Brogan followed in the footsteps of fellow Clitheroe Lady Sarah Ronnan to Stanley Ladies. She has since become a stalwart first-teamer in the midfield and has several man-of-the-match accolades to her name already. She is very much a team player and is looked upon as a great all-rounder by her team mates. This season Brogan has had a 100% record appearing in every game in the 07/08 season. She is a very adaptable player and can play anywhere in the midfield or in a sweeper role.

Chloe is a product of Accrington and Rossendale College's Sport's Department. She is an extremely talented footballer that has had previous first-term experience playing for Bury Girls and Ladies FC. She is a natural crosser of the ball and is a key player when the going gets tough. Chloe is Stanley Ladies set-piece and penalty taker and has scored her fair share of goals from them during the 07/08 season. She has excelled in her wing position during the 07/08 season as well as playing as a striker in numerous games and she has also had a 100% record of appearing in every game of the 07/08 season.

Vikki joined Stanley Ladies after completing summer trials in July of 2007. She has superb skill and her experiences are a great asset to bring to the club. Vikki was made captain during the first-part of the 07/08 season and that is a testament to her character and determination within the team. She has also played for her County team of Lancashire, this is as well as having England Ladies trials at under-16 level. A great all-rounder on the pitch, she is not afraid to put in key tackles or score important goals. In the 07/08 season, Vikki has been a stalwart in the midfield working well alongside Brogan Cook and Chloe Smith and is also the one person you can rely on to score important goals.

Hannah started playing her football alongside fellow teammate Ashleigh Broughton at Wilpshire Wanderers Girls FC and gained great experience in various positions on the pitch. She moved to Accrington Stanley Ladies FC for a new challenge in a higher League. Hannah is an adaptable player and started playing in the left-wing position but she excelled in the 06/07 season playing as a lone striker in numerous games. In the 07/08 season she has already created a great strike partnership with Sarah Ronnan up-front together and is always a candidate for the golden boot come the end of the season.

Sarah's history is packed full of sporting achievements, she was awarded with a football scholarship to attend Cardinal Stritch University in America but in the end turned it down to continue her sports education here in the UK. She is currently studying for a Coaching Education and Performance Development Degree at Edge Hill University in Liverpool and she is also an FA Level 1 qualified football coach. During the 07/08 season Sarah has really excelled in her striker position alongside Hannah Jones, she has scored her fair share of goals already this season and is always reliable to help out in defence when called upon as well, a fantastic all-round footballer.

She is a natural winger and can use both feet, which is a great asset to have. As well as a keen interest in football Sid is a Championship arm wrestler and is ranked 15th in the World Rankings for her age group. Sid is a major utility player and when called upon has excelled herself in the majority of the areas of the pitch. Due to new rules governing women's football during the 07/08 season, Sid had to wait for a chance to play this season until her 16th birthday, because of this her starting places have been limited, but she will be looking forward to the 08/09 season and will be pushing for a starting place.

Stacey came to Stanley Ladies having had no major previous experience in playing in a ladies football team but she has remained in the starting line-up for well over 80% of matches throughout the 06/07 season and 07/08 season too. Stacey has improved greatly through her time at the club, she is a natural right-back and likes to get stuck in, she is the quietest one in the team off the field of play but get her onto a football pitch and she is the loudest one out there.

After three years at Accrington Ladies 91 she moved up a division to play for Haslingden Ladies and link up with former Accrington Ladies Captain Jackie Goddard, unfortunately Haslingden folded at the end of September 1996 and shortly afterwards she suffered a serious knee injury which kept her out of action for two seasons. Sarah rejoined Accrington Ladies FC in the summer of 2002 and had three fairly successful seasons finishing 6th, 5th and 3rd in her final season. Sarah retired at the end of the 2004-2005 season, but decided to come out of retirement to sign for Stanley and fulfil a life-long ambition to play for Accrington Stanley. Her starting places were limited during the first-part of the 07/08 season due her becoming a mum for the first time to honorary Stanley Ladies member, Emily-Mae, but she still supports the team on a weekly basis and will be pushing for a starting place in the 08/09 season.

She moved to Accrington Stanley Ladies FC for a new challenge in a higher League in her chosen position as a winger. During the 06/07 season she started out as a striker before moving to the right wing during the 07/08 season, although she can play on the left as well, which is an integral part of her adaptable playing ability.

A Sport's Journalist by day, Suzanne brings her footballing knowledge to the Stanley Ladies team on a daily basis and is a great role-model for the whole of the team. A natural left-back, she rules the back four with grit and determination and pushes the girls to succeed in both a reassuring and positive manner. She is a great asset to the team. This season has seen her struggle with a knee injury picked up in one of the early games of the 07/08 season but she hopes to be back fighting for a starting place soon..
